Talk: Renewable Energy and Heating Assistance for Low Income Families

March 6, 2013 @ 6:15 pm - 8:15 pm

Oak Grove Presbyterian welcomes Jason Edens,  founder and President of RREAL, Rural Renewable Energy Alliance in Pine River, Minnesota.  Jason will speak on “Renewable Energy and Heating Assistance for Low Income Families.”  Mr. Edens, a high school teacher with a keen interest in solar technologies and a vision for a better way to help struggling families through the winter, founded the company in 2000 in his basement and it has grown to become a full-service manufacturer, integrator, trainer and installer of solar air heating, solar PV, and solar thermal systems for low income people.

RREAL delivers solar air heat to low-income families in the Midwest who are on energy assistance (LIHEAP).  RREAL’s Solar Assistance is a lasting solution to fuel poverty, and it provides ecological health, social equity, and self reliance by giving families decades of renewable, domestic energy.  RREAL also contributes to green workforce development and education through hands-on training and seminars in the field of solar energy for all ages and skill levels.

Oak Grove Presbyterian is located at 2200 West Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, 55431.  For more information, contact John Crampton, 612-396-6010, jcrampt@comcast.net
