Rooftop Solar Dedication and Holiday Open House

Come help dedicate the new 10 kw rooftop solar array at the Minnesota Valley Izaak Walton League Chapter. Bill Grant, Deputy Commissioner of Energy and Telecommunications for the Minnesota Department of Commerce will talk about solar and renewable energy programs in Minnesota over the past 8 years of the Dayton Administration and the future of renewables in the near future. Bill is formerly the associate executive director of the Izaak Walton League’s Midwest Office where he was an author of many innovative renewable energy initiatives.
Take a tour of the solar array and extensive native plant restoration projects at the chapter. Eat cookies and drink hot cider next to our Christmas tree as we exchange best wishes for the holidays and 2018. Program is free and open to the public. The chapter house is handicapped-accessible.
