Preparing for a Climate Crossroads – Energy Comedy Night!

November 27, 2018 @ 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

Reserve your spot here: https://goo.gl/forms/171AahtS383QuP742

Every three years, Xcel Energy (the largest electricity provider in Minnesota) prepares a plan to decide where we’ll get our electricity from for the next 15 years. While there’s nothing funny about 65% of our power plants nearing retirement age, this comedy night explains why there’s plenty to laugh about––and a lot at stake––in this purportedly public process. If you want to find out more and make sure your voice and priorities are heard in this process, this is a perfect opportunity to plug in a fun and accessible way.

Improvisation artists and an expert interviewer from THEATER OF PUBLIC POLICY will interview the panelists and transform what they say about the issues into improv comedy! Panelists: ANNIE LEVENSON-FALK (Citizen’s Utility Board), ELLEN ANDERSON (University of Minnesota’s Energy Transition Lab/former PUC Commissioner), JEREMY SCHROEDER (Minneapolis City Councilmember for Ward 11).

**Opportunities for feedback on the Xcel’s Plan will be available before and after the show. Please add your voice!

Childcare and light food provided!

Sliding Scale Donation to Support the Event ($0-100). The real cost per person is ~$20.
