Green Ideas and Ham

February 19, 2013 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am

We’ll be discussing the ways in which solar power is benefiting Minnesota’s environment and economy, and the ways in which we can bring even more solar to our state. And we’ll be joined by special guests Joel Cannon, CEO of Bloomington-based tenKsolar, and Gary Shaver, president of Mount Iron-based Silicon Energy. Both companies are proud manufacturers of “Made in Minnesota” solar photovoltaic panels.

We’d love to have you there — RSVP today!

Solar is on the rise in Minnesota, but we can do even better.

Minnesota can get 10% of our energy from solar – and in doing so, create thousands of well-paying jobs right here in the state. Along with our Solar Works for Minnesota Coalition, Environment Minnesota is pushing to get 10% of the state’s energy from solar by 2030 and promoting “Made in Minnesota” solar manufacturing. We have huge solar potential, and tenKsolar and Silicon Energy are just two of the companies that will benefit from a 10% solar standard and create more jobs right here in our state.

As always, the event costs $15 for each attendee. That includes a $5 donation to Environment Minnesota, and $10 for breakfast to the Red Stag Supperclub. Click here to RSVP!
