Wolf Management in Minnesota – A Thoughtful Discussion

June 20, 2013 @ 6:30 pm - 7:45 pm

Free

Featuring: Howard Goldman, MN Representative of the Humane Society of the United States
and Dan Stark, Minnesota DNR, Wolf Management Specialist

Minnesota has the largest wolf population in the lower 48 states after making a signifi cant
recovery over the last forty years. In 2012, one year after being removed from the
Threatened Species list of the Federal Endangered Species Act, Minnesota allowed the
hunting of wolves. The Minnesota Court of Appeals recently upheld the DNR’s authority
to set wolf hunting seasons, and plans for a 2013 season are underway. However, not all
Minnesotans agree with this course of action. Join others in the community to hear
experts on both sides of the issue and get your questions answered.
