MEP and member groups urge conferees to pass budget bill without dirty water restrictions

Posted by .

Minnesota Environmental Partnership and our member groups delivered two letters urging Conference Committee members and members of the Minnesota Legislature to pass a clean environment budget bill without dirty water restrictions.

We strongly encourage conferees to remove provisions is SF 1764 and HF 846 that move backwards in efforts to protect Minnesota’s natural resources and the health of its people. We are particularly concerned that, in a time of budget surpluses, the Legislature is considering shifts and raids on funds dedicated for environmental purposes.
