After a brief introduction and presentation about runoff pollution at the brewery from FMR staff, we’ll head out to the nearby downtown streets to stencil storm drains.

Equipped with spray paint, a stencil and safety materials, we’ll head out in small groups to write “Keep ’em Clean, Drains to River” next to area storm drains. Volunteers also distribute educational door hangers to nearby homes and businesses, making a visual connection between the newly stenciled drains and local water quality, and what actions they can take in their home and yard to protect our local waters.

Participants should be prepared to walk approximately one mile while completing their mapped stenciling route.

After the stenciling activity, we’ll reconvene back at the taproom to enjoy a pint or a flight and learn more about Tin Whiskers Brewing Company! Tin Whiskers has also named FMR the “Pints for a Purpose” recipient and will donate $1 from every pint sold to FMR! Even if you can’t make it to the stenciling portion stop by and join us for a beer.
