America’s Arctic — We are all connected to this wondrous and fragile region.

The Arctic is alive and it is all around us. Every year, birds that begin their lives in the Arctic journey to all 50 states and across six continents, before heading back to the Arctic where the cycle of life begins again.

America’s Arctic is one of our nation’s great natural treasures. This dynamic intact ecosystem is home to polar bears, caribou, walrus, seals, whales and much, musch more. Yet, industrialization has put all this at risk. America’s Arctic is so much more than the world’s gas tank. Come hear about this amazing place and celeberate the natural connection we all have with America’s Arctic region and what we can all do to pass this unique place on to future generations.

This will be a presentation and discussion on the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, wtih updates on other important special places in Alaska – the Arctic Ocean, and Western Arctic Reserve (or National Petroleum Reserve – Alaska).
