Cover crops, no-till and soil health will be the focus of a field tour co-sponsored by the Land Stewardship Project and the Rice Soil and Water Conservation District on Friday, August, 24, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The tour starts at Mike Ludwig’s farm (1355 90th St. E., Northfield, MN 55057-4338) with a stop at John Becker’s fields, and ends at Tim Little’s farm (11811 Canby Ave., Faribault, MN 55021-7217). Ludwig, Becker and Little will speak about their experiences with no-till, fall aerial cover crop seeding, weed suppression, cover crop mixes, erosion control, economics, and their local farmer network.

Registration begins at 9:15 am, rain or shine! Picnic lunch to follow (free-will donations accepted).
