Join Friends of the Mississippi River Tuesday, May 9, from 6 to 8 pm at the sand flats, known for their large sandy beaches and wonderful river-edge view. Working alongside Friends of the Mississippi River staff, volunteers will remove garlic mustard – an exotic plant invading many areas of the River Gorge out-competing native plant species.
This event is open to all. No experience is necessary, all tools and training will be provided. Capacity is limited and registration is required. For more information, including registration information, visit us at http://fmr.org/events/2017/05/09/pull-garlic-mustard-river-flats
