Lois Norrgard of the Alaska Wilderness League has tons of important information to share about risks to some of America’s premier wilderness from the fossil fuel extraction Industry.  Rather than investing in renewable energy, the fossil fuel industry wants us to drill for oil in the Chukchi and Beaufort Sea of the Arctic Ocean, and expand drilling along portions of Northern Alaska.  Polar bear denning habitat along Alaska’s North coast is at risk.  Waterfowl nesting areas of the Alaskan North slope for millions of birds are at risk.   Caribou calving grounds are at risk.
