Lake Phalen Wildflower Walk

 The Lake Phalen Shoreline restoration began in 2001 and now has well-established native plant communities lining its shore, protecting the shores against erosive wear and tear, as well as providing wildlife habitat.   We will tour some of the shoreline areas on the southwest side of the lake, discussing plants and techniques used in the restoration. Please email or call Shelly Melser at (651) 792-7965 to register for this free event.

We will meet at 6:30 at the Lake Phalen Beach House, off of Phalen Drive just north of Wheelock Parkway. The tour will wrap up at 8:30 pm.

The Lake Phalen Shoreland Restoration: Walking Tour and Plant Guide 2nd Edition will be available for this tour.  We will have copies available for use or to purchase.  They are also available from the Ramsey County & St. Paul Public Library systems.
