Green Ideas & Ham: breakfast and frac sand mining

September 24, 2013 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am

$15.00

Citizen concern about frac sand mining has grown quickly and vocally as large-scale frac sand mining operations have proved to be devastating to Western Wisconsin. Frac sand companies are now attempting to push into Southeast Minnesota but have been met with strong resistance at the local level. Our waterways, landscapes and public health will suffer the consequences if we allow frac sand mining in Minnesota.

Governor Dayton’s recent statement at the State Fair that he supports a ban on frac sand mining in southeast Minnesota and tough standards for the whole state may open new possibilities. Please join us to discuss this important issue!

As always, the event costs $15. That includes a $5 donation to Environment Minnesota, and $10 to the Red Stag Supperclub. To save time at the door on the morning of the event, donate your $5 to Environment Minnesota using the form below!

  • If you would like to RSVP and make your donation, click here. **(Red Stag servers will take care of the $10 breakfast cost with you at the table. $5 is the minimum donation to help us cover the cost of organizing the event, but if you would like to donate more to support Environment Minnesota’s work, that’s up to you!)
  • If you would like to RSVP for the event, click here. Then come prepared with your donation to give at the door!
