Precision Conservation effectively and efficiently targets scarce resources to places on the land where they will do the most good. New technology and strategies identify places where runoff, soil loss and water pollution are disproportionately bad and the potential for improvement is disproportionately great. The Freshwater Society and a number of partners will sponsor a conference — Precision Conservation: Technology Redefining Local Water Quality Practices — for local officials, water managers and planners.
