Fresh Energy and Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate are proud to jointly host the Code Blue for Patient Earth conference, together with the Science Museum of Minnesota. This unique conference will educate and inspire health professionals, health students, and others to learn about the impacts of climate change to human health, our environment, and animals—the “patients” who inhabit our world—and give participants the tools to take action.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, “One Health recognizes that the health of humans is connected to the health of animals and the environment.” Numerous leading global health agencies have declared climate change to be the number one health threat to humans. Health providers have the opportunity and obligation to care for their patients and for the environments in which their patients live in order to support healthy communities. This conference will both educate health providers on the basics of the health impacts of climate change, as well as prepare and motivate them to lead on solutions.
