Event: Clean Water Action Movie Night: STINK!
Date: Thursday, June 2, 2016
Time: 6:30 doors open, 7:00-9:00 movie with short panel after
Location: Pepito’s Parkway Theater
Description: STINK! opens with a foul smell and a pair of kids pajamas. And a single father trying to find out what that smell could possibly be. But instead of getting a straight answer, director Jon Whelan stumbles on an even bigger issue in America, which is that some products on our store shelves are not safe — by design.
The film explores how artificial scents are permeating our daily lives – whether we apply them intentionally, are exposed to them in public places or use scented products. Whelan delves into the secrecy around fragrance chemicals and how chemicals used in a popular body spray is sending some teens to the hospital. Sponsored by Seventh Generation, Healthy Legacy Coalition. This is a scent free event.
