Enjoying Minnesota’s Great Outdoors is part of our way of life. Your state leaders have an opportunity to build a clean energy economy and protect our cherished environment today and for generations to come.
Please join State Representative Rick Hansen and the Minnesota Environmental Partnership for a discussion of critical environmental and conservation issues being heard this Legislative Session.
For location information, please RSVP to lukejohnson@mepartnership.org, 651-789-0655
Discussion topics will include:
- Move Minnesota: Learn how new transportation funding will enable the state to expand access and opportunity for all while producing living wage jobs.
- Green Land Clean Water: Our 2014 priorities include phasing out triclosan, an ineffective and dangerous chemical agent in anti-bacterial soaps; investing in high-performance crop development through the U of M Forever Green Initiative; and re-establishing the Legislative Water Commission.
- Clean Energy & Jobs: Learn how improving energy-efficiency opportunities for schools, creating low-cost energy-efficiency financing tools for businesses, simplifying standards for installing systems that generate clean energy, like solar and wind, will help us reach a goal of 50% renewable energy by 2030.
The Minnesota Environmental Partnership is a coalition of more than 70 environmental and conservation-focused nonprofits who have collectively identified these priorities.
