NonProfit Leadership Conference

June 25, 2013 @ 7:30 am - 5:30 pm

Government agencies and nonprofit organizations constantly interact in their efforts to meet the needs and aspirations of the community. While public entities and nonprofits often share a common purpose, these cross-sector interactions take many forms, as these institutions are linked through funding relationships, collaborative programs, regulation, taxing and planning.

At the 2013 Nonprofit Leadership Conference, attendees will take time to delve into the intersections between these two sectors. We will take time to explore the historic relationships, the current realities and the future visions for high functioning agencies. At times contentious and always deeply scrutinized, cross-sector relationships at their best serve our highest aspirations and at their worst demonstrate the deep divides in our communities.

Join the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits and the Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs to share strategies and solutions about how nonprofit organizations and government agencies can increase their abilities to engage individuals, improve systems and strengthen communities. Whether you’ve been involved in the nonprofit or government sectors for 2 years or 20 years, this conference offers a space for you!

Take part in this day-long conversation and learning opportunity to refresh your knowledge of historical public-nonprofit intersections, to discuss current trends for creating community impact and to engage in discussions around the future that is emerging in our organizations, agencies and communities.
