Congress is on the verge of cutting funding for walking and biking despite more than 50,000 deaths last decade

Word out of Washington is that the House and Senate are (finally) closing in on a longer-term extension of the federal transportation bill. Such an agreement would be an important step, but rumblings also suggest that funding for walking and biking projects (about 1.5 percent of federal transportation funding) will be cut or eliminated as part of the deal.

Coalition to Congressional Delegation: Incorporate Minnesota principles into Farm Bill
