Today the Governor announced that he is signing the Environment & Natural Resources and the Jobs & Energy budget bills.
While we are thankful that many harmful provisions were negotiated out of these bills by the Governor before they reached his desk, the net effect of these bills moves Minnesota backwards.
“It is unfortunate that the legislature is so out of step with the majority of Minnesotans who want to provide further protection for our lakes, rivers, streams and habitat,” said Steve Morse, Executive Director of the Minnesota Environmental Partnership. “Minnesotans want to work together to move forward. They deserve better than the rollbacks and raids reflected in these bills.”
