Rally Against Hyperscale Data Centers
February 18 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Join us in the Capitol Rotunda at 10am on Feb. 18th for a state-wide mobilization to oppose the billionaire-backed rush of hyperscale data centers across Minnesota.
There are currently 17 hyperscale data centers being proposed in our state and we have no regulatory framework in place to protect our communities from the detrimental environmental impacts of these facilities.
We are showing up on the second day of Minnesota’s legislative session to demand our elected officials:
Pass a Data Center Moratorium to allow our agencies & lawmakers the time to create a regulatory framework.
Require a full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) be conducted for new hyper-scale data centers.
Ban non-disclosure agreements that prevent the public from understanding the full scope of these proposals
Establish mandatory setbacks for residential communities, and protect them from noise/air/light pollution.
Protect our Water!
Prevent big tech from derailing our progress on climate!
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will gather in the Capitol Rotunda at 10am for a rally featuring speakers from impacted communities across Minnesota, legislative champions and policy advocates.
