Neonic Lobby Day
March 9 @ 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Neonics are neurotoxic insecticides used on more than 12 million acres across Minnesota: on farms, in our yards and gardens, and in public spaces. They are a leading cause in the decline of pollinators and other insect species, in turn affecting our food systems and the fish, birds and wildlife that rely on insects for food. They also pose direct health risks to humans. But the vast majority of neonic use in Minnesota is unnecessary!
Make your voice heard! Sign up here to join us on March 9, 2026, for a day at the capitol building, calling on Minnesota legislators to take action to rein in unnecessary neonic contamination! Please fill out the form by February 27th.
Rough Schedule (may be subject to change):
- 8:30-9am: Check in at Christ Lutheran on Capitol Hill (105 University Ave. W, St. Paul) between 8:30 and 9am
- 9-10am: Event with speakers at the Church
- 10-10:30am: March to the Capitol Building
- 10:30am-5pm: meetings with offices (You will have one to three 15-minute meetings in this window. You will have time and space to rest, get lunch, and possibly attend other events at the capitol).
Notes:
We will provide schedules, handouts, and additional guidance on the morning of the event.
We will schedule meetings with your legislators in advance, but these can be subject to last-minute changes because of legislators’ busy schedules. It is best to block off the full day from 8am-5pm if possible. If you have an unavoidable conflict, please explain in the notes below and we will do our best to accommodate you.
