Manager, Agriculture Program

Environmental Initiative

Location: Minneapolis

Environmental Initiative is seeking a full-time program manager for our agriculture work. This area of our organization is working toward an agricultural system that supports conventional farmers in implementing farming practices that are both profitable and sustainable, resulting in clean water, healthy soil and vibrant rural communities. We do this by engaging and building trust among farmer-focused partners (Soil and Water Conservation Districts, state government agencies, food and agriculture companies and non-profits) to identify and support the implementation of farming practices.

The Manager will be responsible for leading a range of projects focused on sustainable agriculture and rural vitality. The Manager will have primary responsibility for designing, leading and implementing projects that harness internal and external partner contributions to achieve positive environmental, economic and social outcomes. In addition, the Manager will serve as a liaison with existing partners and funders and will also develop new relationships as this program area continues to expand in its scope and impact. The Manager designs, plans, executes and evaluates projects, leads project teams and provides support to other Environmental Initiative projects.
