WORKSHOP – Speak Out Against Sulfide Mining Pollution – MINNEAPOLIS

January 23, 2014 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Want to learn how to make effective written comments or public testimony on the pollution that PolyMet’s proposed open-pit sulfide mine would cause? Join WaterLegacy Advocacy Director and Legal Counsel, Paula Maccabee, for this workshop on how to have maximum impact during the 90-day public comment period for PolyMet’s 2100+ page Environmental Impact Statement.

Remember: it is crucial for the future of Minnesota’s clean water that you attend at least one of three public forums and voice your concerns to regulators. Written citizen input will be accepted until March 14, 2014. Throughout this period, WaterLegacy will provide information on WaterLegacy’s PolyMet-Comment webpage to help you provide effective comments.

Public meetings will be in the evening of the following dates:
• Aurora on Wednesday, January 22, 2014
• St. Paul on Tuesday, January 28, 2014

This is a FREE workshop. Refreshments will be served, donations welcome.
Check details on speaking out at public meetings here.
