Principled Voices: Indigenous Peoples Need a Say on the Environment

This event marks the 3rd Annual Scallen Lecture in Human Rights

FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Conversations on the environment, climate change, access to clean water and air are taking place at the highest levels of governments, in cities and rural communities, in university research centers and classrooms, and in advocacy organizations across the world. Whose voices are heard? Whose knowledge is valued?

Kathleen Padulo, Environment Director with the Chiefs of Ontario, will speak about Indigenous People’s rights and leadership in environmental policymaking, focusing on the right to water in Canada’s First Nations communities.
