Electric vehicles seem to be gaining ground in Minnesota– and around the world. We all notice the steady increase in charging stations and EV infrastructure. Are we at a tipping point? What about announcements like GM’s full transition to EV’s by 2035- and Volvo by 2030? What’s the future of EV infrastructure in Minnesota, and what does it mean for my business?
The Minnesota Trade Office (MTO) invites you to join us on June 8 for The Coming of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Minnesota: Lessons from the Nordics, a briefing event to bring you up to speed on our own EV infrastructure landscape and also what we can learn from our EV-embracing Nordic friends.
Did you see the hilarious Will Ferrell GM commercial highlighting Norway’s leading role in EV’s? We’re most fortunate to have Ketil Solvik-Olsen, former Norwegian Minister of Transport and Communications and CEO of Hydrolift to tell us just why Norway has garnered an international spotlight for its accelerated adoption of EV’s. Mr. Solvik-Olsen will also share lessons Minnesota can take from the story.
Chief EV Educator and Strategist Jukka Kukkonen, Shift2Electric, is one of Minnesota’s leading EV experts and will walk us through the latest in EV infrastructure and EV news. Originally from Finland, Jukka has been educating and advocating for EV’s for over 12 years.
Who in Minnesota’s business scene is contributing to the growing EV and EV infrastructure story? What domestic and global opportunities are there for suppliers to this industry? Minnesota Trade Office Regional Trade Manager for Environmental and Energy Industries Steve Riedel will provide an overview of the latest.
Swedish firm Unimi is considering Minnesota for its charging station technology will and cast some light on the world of EV infrastructure. Unimi also has an opportunity to share for the right Minnesota company. Tune in to find out!
The MTO is pleased to partner with the Finnish American Chamber of Commerce, the Consulate of Norway, the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce – Minnesota, the Norway House Business Accelerator Resource Network (BARN), the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, and Shift2Electric in hosting this event.
