LSP’s Mark Schultz at East Side Freedom Library

March 12, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

We will hear from Mark Schultz, the Land Stewardship Project’s executive director, on Tuesday, March 26, beginning at 7 p.m. He has led numerous successful campaigns in farm and rural policy and organizing, while building an effective membership organization in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.

Schultz works with member/leaders and staff in LSP’s five major programs — Policy and Organizing, Farm Beginnings, Soil Health, Community-Based Food Systems, and Membership — to win advances for family farms, urban and rural communities, and the land, and to build power for far-reaching positive change. For the past six years, much of Schultz’s work in Minnesota has focused on working with other base building organizations to align progressive power across the state in a new, multi-racial, multi-sector, and statewide movement for environmental stewardship, prosperous communities, and economic, racial, and social justice.

Come learn what they are doing and how you can be involved.
