The Return of the Cuyahoga Film & Author Judy Helgen

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Clean Water Act, Clean Water Action will be showing The Return of the Cuyahoga and author Judy Helgen will be speaking about her new book. Known as the “river that burned” the Cuyahoga River in Ohio became an important symbol of the environmental movement. This one-hour documentary shows the death and rebirth of one of America’s most emblematic waterways.

Guest Speaker: Judy Helgen, biologist and author of Peril in the Ponds: Deformed Frogs, Politics, and a Biologist’s Quest. Learn about Judy’s investigation into the mystery of deformed frogs discovered in Minnesota ponds. Copies of her book will be available for purchase before and after the film.
