Driving Toward Energy Independence: A forum on fuel economy and innovation

Please join the Pew Clean Energy Program and the National Wildlife Federation to celebrate the new fuel efficiency standards of 54.5 mpg by 2025, to be released later this summer. Increasing fuel economy will save consumers money, boost the economy, reduce dependence on foreign oil, and enhance national security. Electric vehicles will be available to test-drive at the event. Please bring a valid driver’s license.

8:30 a.m.: Networking breakfast.
9 a.m.: Program featuring Gary Botzek, National Wildlife Federation, Katie Gulley, Blue Green Alliance, Melissa Legge, Minnesota representative, Pew Environment Group, and a representative from the office of U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.).
9:45 a.m.: Electric vehicle demonstration.
