Attend a meeting in Brooklyn Park with Senator Hoffman and Representative Hortman!

February 9, 2013 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Enjoying Minnesota’s Great Outdoors is part of our way of life. Your state leaders have an opportunity to build a clean energy economy and protect our cherished environment today and for generations to come.

Join the Minnesota Environmental Partnership, a coalition of environmental nonprofits, for a meeting with Sen. John Hoffman and Rep. Melissa Hortman to discuss the importance of protecting Minnesota’s environment. Topics include:

  • Solar Works for Minnesota: Invest in clean energy to help our local economy and create thousands of jobs.
  • Address Runoff Pollution and Improve Surface and Groundwater Testing: Create clear priorities for spending the Clean Water funds and good water cleanup plans that are effectively implemented.
  • Build Transit for a Stronger Economy:  Complete and expand metro and Greater Minnesota transit systems in order to make public transportation more accessible, create 30,000 jobs, and reduce household transportation costs.

Join us at 8:30 a.m., before your legislators arrive, to learn more about the priorities selected by more than 75 members of the Minnesota Environmental Partnership, discuss other issues of concern, and learn more about your legislators and fellow constituents.

This is an excellent opportunity to discuss these important issues with your legislators.
