Despite unseasonably cold temperatures, many people turned out to learn about the ecological and cultural history at this sanctuary Open House. Visitors also learned about habitat and the flyway that stretches all the way to Costa Rica - and had an opportunity to sample free, hot Costa Rican coffee!
A big thank you to the volunteer interpreters and Catherine Nicholson, Honorary Consul to Costa Rica, for making the event a success. The Saint Paul Hotel and Lillydale Garden Center provided additional assistance.
