The next couple of weeks are jam packed with Earth Month events and activities, all leading up to Minnesota's largest celebration of all things earth-friendly and green - the Living Green Expo on May 1 and 2. Check out the list of events below!

Paddle for the Planet
April 25 - May 25
During this solar- and human-powered educational trip down the Minnesota section of the Mississippi River, participants will study the connections between one another, the river and the planet.
Participants will travel over 500 miles in canoes with a solar-powered communication system, and will add a solar-powered bike and cooker for the last four days of the trip. More information

"Send PolyMet to Summer School” petition
Deadline: April 30
PolyMet Mining Corp. has proposed an open-pit sulfide mine in the Arrowhead region. Recently, the Environmental Protection Agency gave the mine proposal the agency's lowest possible rating, declaring the mine would cause unacceptable environmental impacts and that the environmental review failed to even adequately analyze the proposal.
You can sign the “Send PolyMet to Summer School” petition to insist that PolyMet do the catch-up work necessary to to protect our environment.
