On Sunday, August 21st, local leader in Bagley, Minnesota, Marty Cobenais, will be guiding a tour of Enbridge oil pipelines to gain a unique perspective on the damaging effects of oil in Minnesota. The tour will include visits to a Tank Farm in Clearbrook, a scenic overlook, and a chance to walk on exposed pipelines in a wetland. Join us to learn more about this pressing issue and to meet other Sierra Club members and volunteers!
We have two opportunities for those interested in joining us for the Pipeline Tour:
1. If you are interested in a whole weekend of activism, we are also inviting folks to carpool from the Twin Cities with the Tar Sands Committee the Saturday before to volunteer at the Itasca County Fair! We will be driving up at 9AM Saturday, August 20th, working at the fair with the local Environmental Action Team, and camping overnight to go to the Pipeline Tour the following morning. Sign-up here for the Pipeline Tour AND Itasca County Fair: https://goo.gl/forms/
2. Those who are just interested in the Pipeline Tour on Sunday, August 21st, are encouraged to carpool to Bagley, Minnesota that morning, or the evening before. Camping is also available for those who are only going to the Pipeline Tour. Sign-up here for the Pipeline Tour ONLY:https://goo.gl/forms/
