A PRESENTATION ON THE THREAT OF SULFIDE-ORE COPPER MINING IN THE WATERSHED OF AMERICA’S MOST VISITED WILDERNESS

January 24, 2015 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

This is your chance to learn more about the threat posed by sulfide-ore copper mining. As you know, this type of mining has never before been permitted in Minnesota and will permanently ruin the pristine waters and unspoiled forests that make the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness so valuable.

These presentations will be particularly relevant to people who own property in northeastern Minnesota, where we are seeing multiple proposals for risky sulfide-ore copper mining. The events begin with an open house—a chance to view maps and studies and talk to knowledgeable Campaign staff and volunteers.

Please feel free to invite friends, family and neighbors!
